Winnick Family Foundation Completes $25,000 Grant to Library Foundation of Los Angeles

Los Angeles, CA – December 24, 2009 -- The grant helped to fund 1,140 training sessions organized by the Los Angeles Public Library, attracting 21,955 children and 15,648 adults for an average attendance of 19 children and 14 parents or caregivers per session. Each parent or caregiver is trained by the librarian about pre-literacy skills and how to incorporate them into reading with a child.
